Photo Analysis Essay - Effective Learning Techniques
Photo Analysis Essay - Effective Learning TechniquesSample photo analysis essay is an effective way to convince students that certain stories are true. It can also be used as a part of a typical introductory course, especially if students already know a lot about photography and image editing. Students who have a strong analytical mind may learn a lot from this and thus be able to avoid quite a few amateur mistakes. This essay is divided into two parts. In the first part, a test is given to the students by which they need to identify a scene in a photograph. On the basis of this identifying the scene, a real story is told by the photo analyst. The scene is made up of two elements, an image and a foreground. In some cases, the image may also be an object and will be given in quotation marks, for instance, 'light switch', which is one type of scene where the image and the foreground are both different objects. The second section consists of several statements that will describe the scene. The first statement is 'A man stands beside a brick wall'. In the next sentence, a definition is given of the type of wall, which is brick. Then a attribution statement is given to the wall and to the man in the picture. It is usually followed by a set of question which are needed to assess the test taker's knowledge. For instance, this may include questions such as 'What would you expect if there was no brick wall between the man and the brick wall?'Following this, another statement, 'There is a lot of traffic on the highway', is given and the photographer of the scene is mentioned. Then a third statement is given about what the person standing next to the man would think if he were not aware of the man and what he could think about this scene.A third statement then describes the new scene and the conclusion is stated. The scene is made up of many words that are basically short form descriptions. They are usually adjectives, adverbs and simple verbs.Such practice and essay are usef ul in various subjects, but mostly in educational circles. While the essay is not of much value for some specific subject, such as a recipe or even a law course, it can be a powerful tool for teaching grammar and spelling, mathematics and so on.
